What’s this? Why it’s the much-anticipated debut album from Swedish popstar Omar Rudberg. ‘OMR’ is his first LP, and it’s out now.
What’s on it? His single from January, ‘Mi Casa, Su Casa‘, his Melodifestivalen hit from February, ‘Moving Like That‘, plus eight brand-new tracks.
Brand-new tracks! What are they like? An eclectic collection of pop songs that showcase the various styles he has found his groove in, from ballads, to reggaeton, and from r&b to electronica.
Highlights? Of course there are highlights. Some huge ones! We’re particularly partial to the synthpop summer vibes of ‘In The Sunrise’, the sultry sounds of ‘Coast Side’, and the classic duet with Benjamin Ingrosso, ‘La Incondicional’.
What does Omar say? “It feels great to finally release my debut album! I have longed for this day for so long. All the songs identify me and my roots and I hope everyone will find a favorite song to dance to and get emotional to!”
More from Omar? Last year he released an EP of covers of songs featured in the Netflix series that he stars in, Young Royals. It’s helpfully titled ‘Omar Covers‘.
