ALBUM: LÉON – ‘Apart’

What’s this? A new album from Swedish artist LÉON. Her second, after last year’s self-titled debut. This is ‘Apart’.
What’s on there? 11 songs – 5 of which are previously released singles, and all of which we’ve featured on these very pages, as they’re awesome.
And the new tracks? We have two instant faves. ‘Die For You’ serves as a timeless beauty of a number. The album’s most dramatic (that title was a giveaway, eh?) ballad, and the one we’ll be coming back to the most over the coming months. And then there’s ‘Crazy/Stupid’ – a more up-tempo, bop-worthy track, which has a lot in common with the previously released singles, though it still manages to sound uniquely special on this album. This song has also got a certain synth that was also used a lot on one of our fave releases of last year – Alessandra’s ‘Summer’s Not My Season’.
So the singles weren’t flukes? Most definitely not. Pour yourself a large one, on a particularly cold one, and enjoy this record in its glorious entirety.

You can find ‘Die For You’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
