The UK edit of Ace Wilder’s ‘Busy Doin Nothin’ surfaced online over the weekend.
This means that;
a) The song will be released in the UK.
b) Enough of a shit is being given about it by Warner, for them to have thought about how to make it more UK radio friendly.
And how DOES one go about making ‘Busy Doin Nothin’ more radio friendly? Well don’t worry, we’re not talking Agnes/‘On & On’ levels of butchering the song for the sake of it. Instead, they’ve merely added an extra 18 seconds to the track’s length. And in that time we get a cute new addition to the middle eight, and one final round of “WORK WORK WORK”s to enjoy.
In Sweden, the original has recently surpassed 20 fucking million streams on Spotify. And a remix EP has also been released. Internationally however, it looks like it’s a totally new remix which is being pushed as the “main” remix to accompany the new radio edit (sorry, we’re making this sound a lot more complicated than it really is).
