The Swedish girl duo who made a brief career out of recording and releasing fabulous covers of UK boy duo Pet Shop Boys’ songs, included this yuletide gem in their repertoire. Uptempo and joyous music pleasantly jarring with depressing but slightly hopeful lyrics. A sort of anti-traditional Christmas song, but uncompromisingly festive with it too.
We liked West End Girls, and miss them a lot. Their version of ‘What Have I Done To Deserve This’ remains one of our most played songs. Ever!
