Our favourite UK music channel, Dance Nation TV, are becoming even more scandipoptastic this weekend – they’re devoting a whole programme to the best Swedish music to have graced the UK’s shores in recent years.
Here’s their synopsis; From Robyn to Basshunter, Eric Prydz to Agnes – recently, Sweden has churned out some dance classics! It’s time for Dance Nation to fly the blue & yellow flag!
The programme is called ‘Hot n Swedish’ and consists of a top 20 countdown of their favourite Swedish dance tracks. They’ve sent us the list, and we’re MIGHTILY impressed! They certainly know their stuff when it comes to Swedish pop. The countdown includes scandipop favourites like Velvet, BWO, and Elin Lanto, Swedish clubland legends such as Tim Berg, Swedish House Mafia, and Stonebridge featuring Therese, more pop flavoured dance acts like Star Pilots, Sunblock, and E-Type, PLUS it’s interesting to see who they’ve ranked higher amongst the holy trinity of international Swedish pop music ladies – September, Robyn, or Agnes!
