What a nice suprise this is!
Former a-ha frontman Morten Harket releases a new album, and the first single which premiered yesterday is rather fantastic!
The album is ‘Out Of My Hands’ and the single is ‘Lightning’. It’s a hugely uplifting pop track laden down with some heavy strings. Given his fanbase, it’s pop that fits into the genre of adult alternative or easy listening. But it’s not a million miles away from the sound of something that Coldplay might venture out with one day. It’s very very melodic.
Universal Music have gifted fans with a two minute preview which you can listen to below. However, after its radio premiere on P4 Norway yesterday, radio rips are springing up everywhere. And worth seeking out too, to hear that glorious middle eight that the below clip cuts out. Here is one such ‘rip’.
