It’s the debut single from Jesper Nohrsedt!
The fresh faced young chap first appeared before his native Denmark when he competed in their version of X Factor, back in 2012. He came 3rd, and surprisingly hasn’t got moving with a singing career since.
Until now that is.
‘Take Our Hearts’ is his first single, and with it, he’s going straight into another singing competition – Denmark’s Melodi Grand Prix. He’s widely considered to be one of the favourites to win the contest, which takes place this Saturday. Not just because of his already proven televote credentials from his X Factor days – but also because the song ‘Take Our Hearts’ is quite fantastic. It’s co-written and produced by Morten Hampenberg – one of the chaps who brought us the amazing ‘I Want You (To Want Me Back)‘ last year (featuring the vocals of Stine from Alphabeat). And if you enjoyed that song, then you should love this one too. It follows much the same piano based mold – sounding like a cross between ‘I Want You (To Want Me Back)’ and a much more subdued ‘Save The World’ by Swedish House Mafia.
The video arrived this morning;
