Swedish girl duo First Aid Kit have just released a new video. It’s for the second single from the duo’s second album ‘The Lion’s Roar’ which is due out later this month.
‘Tis ‘Emmylou’. A pop song tinged with a generous homage to country music. And that transfers into the lyrics as well – in their words it’s “a tribute to some of our favorite country musicians – Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons, June Carter and Johnny Cash. It’s about the power of singing together with someone you love“.
It’s a strongly melodic tracks both in its verses and in its chorus. Not really the sort of song we listen to a lot, but we were absolutely captivated after only one listen. It’s something of a beauty!
The video is a picturesque outdoors affair filmed in Joshua Tree National Park in California.
