ABBA alert!
This track has the second best Abba-esque sound of 2011, after Jenny Silver’s ‘Something In Your Eyes’.
After being alerted to it on Thursday afternoon, it’s since pretty much been the soundtrack to our weekend so far. And if you listen to it you’ll see why. It might have a rock exterior, but at the heart of it all is some seriously sharp schlager sounds. The melody and the music are more Abba than Muriel’s Wedding, and just as wholesomely entertaining! The happy tune mixed with the more somber lyric and delivered by her nonchalant vocal is a total winner.
The rest of the time, The Storm are a Danish rock band, made up of husband and wife team Johan Wohlert and Pernille Rosendahl. This is the first single from their third album ‘Rebel Against Yourself’ and is written by Swedish band Kent’s Jocke Berg has written it.
