You are about witness both the sublime and the ridiculous. Both extremes brought to you by Le Kid. Of course.
Let’s start with the sublime – a performance of ‘Kiss Me’ from their current album, ‘Oh Alright’. It’s taken from a gig they did in Stockholm a few weeks back. We were there (*scream*), and it was a spectacular thirty minutes of music. But you already knew that of course. Just in case you had any doubts though – here’s ‘Kiss Me’;
Then we move on to the slightly more out of the ordinary. They spent the day with SVT’s show, Fredag Kväll med Malin. And you can watch the 12 minute show here. In it we get to see the band cleanse themselves of the high cost of storage space in Sweden, and recycle some of their stage props. THE stage props. The giant sweeties from their ‘Oh My God’ Melodifestivalen performance. These stage props! It’s a solemn sight – watching the band literally kiss them goodbye and see them destroyed by heavy machinery.
The show then does a ickle interview with the band (in Swedish), watched them set up for the gig, and then you can see them perform ‘We Are The Drums’. And if you look closely, you can see yours truly doing some head bopping in the audience.
