We’ve gone and compiled a Spotify playlist that comprises our favourite compositions and productions from one of our most beloved music making teams in Sweden over the last few years – Pitchline. Mathias Kallenberger and Andreas Berlin (we do love a man who cites the Von der Burgs as his influences!) are masters in crafting MASSIVE modern day disco tunes. The kind of pop that makes you sweat glitter as you dance to it in clubs. Their melodies give a friendly nod to a certain brand of 80’s rock anthems. And these are in turn backed by MAMMOTH productions that combine the most sizable synths, the more substantial of strings, and some stupendous sounds.

Did we mention it’s all very BIG!

Listening to this playlist is like kneeling before a giant glitter ball, inhaling the fumes from the adhesive that each tiny square mirror has been glued onto it with, and pledging your allegiance to it and all that it stands for, for the rest of eternity.

Try it, it’s fun!

You can listen to the playlist here, check out our earlier playlists here, and browse the tracklisting in the comments section below. Subscribe to it too, as we’ll be updating it as more and more pop gems come forth from those legendary studios in Halmstad, Sweden!

As for what future music that is, well the boys teased us this week with the news that they’ve been working with the girls who formerly made up the girl group Bubbles, and Elin Blom from last year’s series of Swedish Idol. Linda Bengtzing, Jessica Andersson, and Mimi Oh have also paid visits to their studio recently. And of course Velvet and Magnus Carlsson are never far away from their doors – they wrote and produced Velvet’s next single ‘Love Struck’ which we wrote about a while back.

One final thing – we had to mention one track of theirs in particular that we love, but that unfortunately isn’t on Spotify. It’s ‘Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl’ by Kick. And it DESERVES A VOICE! Take a listen below, and while you’re at it, take a look at THE trashiest video to have come out of Scandinavia in 2010. It’s pure cheap filth, but naturally we love every disgusting, sleazy frame of it!
