This year’s Stockholm Pride festival is in ‘full swing’ right now. Last night we paid a visit to the Pride are in Kungsträdgården, Central Stockholm, to see what pop was on offer. And we got to watch Linda Pritchard, SOJO, Anniela, Man Meadow, and Glorious Inc all perform their wares. We also bumped into one half of Straight Up, the Swedish pop duo behind this year’s official Stockholm Pride song, ‘Show The World Tonight’. And what a lovely fellow he turned out to be.
We wrote a bit more about the song last month, but now the video has premiered online. It features the fiercely homosexual boys, Kid & Dandy, as animated superheroes in an intergalactic setting. Fighting off – whatever it is that they’re fighting – with guns that are molded in a fabulously phallic fashion. So very Straight Up!
