So after last month’s huge glitch which saw ‘Don’t Stop’ being disqualified from Melodifestivalen hours after it had been announced, SVT have finally announced the new song that Anders Fernette will compete with. ‘Run’ is composed by Desmond Child, Negin Djafari, Hugo Lira, Ian-Paolo Lira, and Thomas Gustafsson.
Most notable about all of the above of course, is the inclusion of Desmond Child. He’s a legendary songwriter and producer, having created many famous hits for the likes of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Bonnie Tyler, Cher, KISS, and Ricky Martin. And he most recently worked on the Nadine Coyle album (amazing!). So the fact that he’s contributing to Melodifestivalen 2011, is quite huge! Even more huge than Mr Red One’s involvement. It all seems very WOW!
Negin Djafari and Hugo Lira bring the pop credentials to the table, as they’ve written for Agnes, Dannii Minogue, Miley Cyrus, and Amy Diamond amongst others.
And that’s about it really. All we’re waiting on now is for Love Generation to announce which song they’ll be competing with, and then we’re all set for what looks like it’s going to be the BIGGEST Melodifestivalen yet! Bring. It. On!
