Who? 22-year-old Nina Bring hails from Stockholm in Sweden and has previously performed backing vocals for the likes of Laleh. Now she’s striding ahead with a pop career of her own. This is her new single ‘Nog’.
What’s it like? A summer burst of synthpop that is as frantic in its emotion as it is in its pounding production. Its chorus is so eruptive, it could well have served as the refrain for one of Carly Rae Jepsen’s biggest hits.
What does Nina say? “‘Nog’ is a dramatic and emotionally charged pop song about the fear of losing someone. It’s about drastically wanting to fix everything that you thinks you may have ruined, but at the same time being afraid of getting too hard. The song describes a broken relationship but also an inner conflict with yourself, where you constantly overthinks your own behaviour.”
Written by? Nina herself, along with Rob Martin.
More from Nina? This is actually her third single. Check out her first two – ‘Förlåta‘ and ‘Nära‘.
