What’s this? The debut EP from Swedish artist HENRIKES – ‘Naive Again’.
What’s good on it? Well last year, we fell head over heels for her ‘Velodrome’ single, and it’s honestly not lost any of its many charms. An incredible track that you’ve most definitely been deprived of if in fact you’ve yet to hear it.
Other highlights? ‘Naive’ is a beautiful electronic ballad that practically blossoms before you as it plays, ‘Vintage Love’ is synthpop with some truly unbridled majesty on offer, and ‘Fictional’ feels like the EP’s great big pop breakout moment. And honestly – who doesn’t love a great big pop breakout moment.
What does HENRIKES say? ”When you go through an emotionally challenging process there is this urge to want to go back to the beginning, to glorify the beginning. But at that point you didn’t know what you know now and hadn’t learned what it was you were supposed to learn from it all.”
Written by? The whole EP has mostly been the project of HENRIKES and her fellow Swedish writer/producer Märta Grauers.
More from HENRIKES? She’s also released a music video for that aforementioned great big pop breakout moment – watch ‘Fictional‘.
