What’s this? Icelandic artist Sylvia Erla is out with her first new music in over two years. And it’s a good one. New single ‘My Party’.
What’s it like? Electropop that veers between being blissfully dreamy and fiercely pounding at regular intervals, with both facets of its sound being equally endearing.
What does Sylvia say? “The song is about the fact that people can’t be placed in the same box. This is your life, you have to go where you are going.”
Written by? Sylvia herself, along with Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson.
More from Sylvia? ‘My Party’ is the accompanying song to a documentary that Sylvia has made, which was premiered in Iceland this week – Lesblinda.
