What’s this? A brand-new collab between two of Norway’s finest – Rat City & Dagny. This is their new single ‘Bad’.
What’s it like? A bombastic and ballsy number that’s laden with attitude and delivered with an umistakable vocal swagger. The production layers a classy retro sheen over proceedings, leaving an unmissable blockbuster of a listen.
What does Dagny say? “I wrote Bad in Stockholm with Gustav and Hilda, and then brought it into the studio with Rat City. The lyric results from an incident where I felt that I had really been underestimated and treated unfairly. It left me with the feeling that I hadn’t stood up for myself and was being treated as more of a puppet. I’ve always been a fan of the saying ‘kill them with kindness’ but things don’t always play out the way you intend. So when I went into the studio I poured my heart into the song and took on the role of being BAD, I think it worked well and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. I’m not one to hold a grudge and sometimes letting it all go in the studio is the way to stop that from happening.”
