An alternative version of ‘Doreen’ by Ace of Base appeared online today. It’s one of our favourite songs on their new album so we were intrigued. And whilst it’s not exactly much different to the version that ended up on ‘The Golden Ratio’, we just had to post it on here for 17 amazing seconds that don’t appear on the album version. Clara takes the key of a part of the middle eight a lot higher, and a lot louder too. And it sounds chillingly good. It’s up there with her vocal gymnastics on the middle eight of ‘Black Sea’. We’ve been listening to it over and over for the last five minutes!
