Oh my word, this is exciting!
Eric Prydz has just now uploaded to youtube, a teaser of his forthcoming release on his Pryda Recordings label. It’s an as yet untitled EP, simply going under its catalogue number PRY019. And it’s out on August 11th. BUT – if you’re any kind of dance music fan, we would urge you to listen to the clip below. It’s 53 seconds of a track that will feature on the EP. Again, the track is still untitled, but the name isn’t important right now. What’s important is just how huge a monster it sounds! We fell in love with it after about 20 seconds and have had it on repeat for the last 10 minutes! It sounds like the dirtier sister to ‘Pjanoo’, one that stays out later and parties harder, rebelling against the fact that it has thus far had to live in the shadow of its uber successful sister!
It’s absolutely immense. And it’s actually probably going to end up being the best instrumental dance song since his own ‘Pjanoo’. Plus, you just know that for the next year, youtube is going to be choc full of amazing mash-ups and unauthorised top line vocal recordings, that will be using this as the backing track!
