Melodifestivalen 2018: Your Guide to Andra Chansen!

The Melodifestivalen final now has eight artists and songs in its line-up. Let’s cram another four in!

The Andra Chansen round takes place this weekend in Sweden, before the big final the following Saturday. It’s literally the second chance round. For all of those eight songs that finished in 3rd place or 4th place in their heats. So close to the final. But not close enough. Until now – when four of the eight songs will earn a place there.

The eight songs are split into four duels. Both songs in each duel get a chance to perform again for Sweden, and the Swedish voting public get to decide who wins. You win – you’re in the final. It’s as straight forward as that.

Let’s take a look at the four duels now, watch the performances again, and weigh up how the songs have been holding up since their heat on both Spotify and YouTube. High play counts don’t always mean you’ve got yourself a duel winner, but they’re a good indication of just how well people have been responding to your song.

Let’s take a look;
