17 year old Swedish artist Matilda Lundberg will release her second single tomorrow, following on from ‘Game Over‘ earlier in the year. Today though, she’s premiering it here on Scandipop – because we’re so in love with it! ‘Fear’ is a hugely sophisticated pop song that incorporates something of an homage to the ludicrously expensive sounding r&b that was being put out at the turn of the millennium. It takes that style and it brings it right up to date thanks to an electronic undercurrent, and a passionate vocal from Matilda. The last time we heard a 17 year old artist sounding this mature, well – it was Zara Larsson.
