Who? This is Anna Lidman, from Sweden. Regular readers may well know her (or at least know of her) as the former lead singer of EKO – who competed in Melodifestivalen 2014 with the song ‘Red’. The band have now gone their separate ways. And what this means for us in the first instance, is a solo career from Anna!
What’s she starting with? Her first EP ‘Between Hello & Goodbye’ comes out in January. And before that we get its lead single, ‘Jacob’. A strong electroballad with a rousing and slightly devastating chorus.
And who has she been working with? Karin Park, Dan Brown (Massive Attack) and the MachoPsycho team (the chaps behind Margaret Berger’s ‘I Feed You My Love’). The EP will also feature songwriting and production contributions from her two former EKO colleagues Michael and Hannes.
