Swedish synth siren, Daniela, has been buzzing around the dance music scene for the last couple of years, dropping tunes like ‘You & I’, ‘Push It Up’, and ‘Back On Track’, and ultimately getting us very excited about her. She’s so far been launched in Poland and Canada, but is now finally ready to be unleashed in her native Sweden, where she’s signed a deal with new dance label, One Pro Music. And why are we especially happy about this? Because it means we get a brand new track from her!

Her first release in Sweden is going to be ‘Chain Reaction’, a cover of the Diana Ross disco classic. You’ll be able to listen to it on her myspace from next week, but we’ve been given an exclusive first listen, and can tell you what it sounds like now!

The verses are laidback and tantalising, and the chorus is a full on explosion of beats, blips, and basslines. Our favourite bit though is the first half of the second verse, where a really catchy little synth riff makes itself heard, but then disappears. It’s the little things in life! It’s a cover version that works well, in that it gives a well known and much loved song a makeover for this decade’s dancefloors. Daniela’s already proved that she can produce top notch original material, and it’s nice to see another side to her, and that she can lend herself well to other people’s classics. Plus, we’ve also had a glimpse into what she’s got in store for music later in 2010 – and it’s incredibly good!
