One of Finland’s finest, this one! You know something? She really has become that in 2015. Forget what you know of the popstar who represented Finland at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest (DING DONG). The Krista Siegfrids who is releasing music this year is even better than before.
How so? Well first there was the brilliaballad ‘On & Off’ from February this year. And now today she releases her new single ‘Better On My Own’.
And what’s it like? In ALL seriousness – it could easily have been on Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ album or Carly Rae Jepsen’s forthcoming ‘E-MO-TION’ record. We don’t normally like to compare the Scandis to the Globals as it’s not really why any of us are here, but ‘Better On My Own’ just fits in so perfectly with both of those albums, that it merits a mention. In particular it’s got a lot in common with Taylor Swift’s ‘Style’ – it’s that song with a Scandipop twist on it. Krista Siegfrids is making some incredible pop music at the moment, and now that we know ‘On & Off’ definitely wasn’t a fluke, that new album of hers has gone right to the TOP of our wish list.
