Swedish singer Helena Johansson has got herself a new single out. ‘Faith’.
It’s a trip-hop sound-a-like number, a genre which Swedish artists are loving something rotten right now. ‘Faith’ does it very well – getting the atmospheric qualities of the finer past moments of the genre spot on. There’s a great deal of drama going on in here, something we love our pop songs to have. And the more OTT the better. This one acts as a call-to-arms to one’s self, to keep the chin up and start being a little bit stronger in your everyday life etc etc. “This is a time for faith”. The middle eight REALLY lets rip. And Helena love, we adore what you’ve done with the outro.
We’ve featured Helena Johansson on here a couple of times before, because she’s really good. We’re not sure why more places on the internet aren’t writing about her too.
