Here’s an interesting track we were sent this week. It’s ‘Time Has Come’, the debut single from Finnish singer Hannis. And it’s a free download too.
Hannis calls it a mix of dubstep and chillstep. It’s an epic number that comes to life during its instrumental chorus – which is for all intents and purposes a massive dubstep spazz-out. The verses and the rest of the song are chilled out by her angelic vocals. And it’s probably the contrast of her voice and the production that makes it all so appealing.
Nothing groundbreaking. And not exactly our favourite of all the songs we’ve written about this week (or even today). But we like it, we’re pleased to welcome her to Scandinavian pop, and we’re looking forward to hearing what she’ll be coming out with next.
