Denmark meets Sweden on this joyous new electropop song from the Nordic region, that’s out next week. Danish producer Tomas Barfod has recruited Swedish vocalist Nina K (or Nina Kinert, as she’s known to most) to front his new single ‘Pulsing’.
‘Pulsing’. Ordinarily a good, descriptive title for an electro track. Except here, it’s not a promise of the tempo or the production, but instead a lyric used to describe the act of putting love inside someone. Nice. Accompanying the make-of-that-what-you-will lyric is a giddy vocal with speedy annunciation from Nina, and an eerie synth courtesy of Tomas that commands the listener’s attention within the opening seconds. The combination of all three – theatrical production, captivatingly alert vocal, and a lyric that insinuates penetration – makes for an interesting (and we’ll admit, enjoyable) listen.
Barfod’s new EP (also called ‘Pulsing’) is out next Tuesday, February 18th, and will be released outside of Scandinavia too. Here’s the video for the single;
