Earlier this year, Sweden’s Miriam Bryant got herself some big US exposure as the featured vocalist on the latest single from dance producer Zedd. It was ‘Find You’, the lead single to be taken from the soundtrack to the film Divergent, and it ended up going to number 1 in America (on one of those Billboard dance charts, but still – it was a hit).
Well she’s now dropped the sonic shackles of the clubland genre which is otherwise so alien to her as an artist, and released a version which is a lot more – well, Miriam Bryant. It’s not even a ballad particularly. It’s just more suited to the kind of output she’d been putting out previously to ‘Find You’. And sits alongside the rest of it a lot more comfortably. It’s a declaration to all of her new fans of what she’s really all about, and a gift to the fans who’d been there before ‘Find You’.
We like both versions. But we do think that the “Miriam Bryant version” makes the better song.
Have a listen;
