Swedish duo Say Lou Lou have today premiered a brand new track of theirs. And rather excitingly, it does appear to be their best effort since debut single ‘Maybe You’ appeared earlier this year. It’s called ‘Beloved’, and we’d advise that you listen to it below.
‘Beloved’ serves as the b-side to new single ‘Better In The Dark’, which comes out on December 16th according to the press release, or November 25th according to some sources – but either way you can already listen to it here (advised).
In keeping with tradition (and rightfully so), ‘Beloved’ is another down-tempo and melancholic electronic number that’s big on the beauty and massive on the melody. It shimmers, simultaneously putting you up on a neon high, and then breaking your heart with those soft and delicate vocals singing confusedly about a love that’s somehow not being requited. Bless their souls. Heartache does make for the best sort of pop music though, so we’d suggest that they struggle on with this chap.
We are promised that the debut album WILL be coming in early 2014. And we think that you will all agree that will be quite the momentous event. These girls are a bit brilliant.
