Meet new Swedish popstrel, Nicole Sabouné.
She competed in the Swedish version of The Voice, during last year’s first season. Ola Salo of The Ark was her mentor, and he liked her so much, that he’s also gone and composed her debut single – ‘Unseen Footage From A Forthcoming Funeral’.
Listening to the track gave us slight reminisces of three very good acts of yesteryear – Harry, Portobella, and our old lovelies, Shampoo. It’s got that same high turbo, cranked up level of feminine punk that’s delivered with just the right amount of sass and fabulousness to make it appeal to pop tarts such as our good selves.
And you can blatantly hear the Ola Salo/The Ark influences in here too.
