Danish singer Oh Land ramps up the pace of her big comeback, by popping up on this rather good new single from Yuksek, ‘Last Of Our Kinds’.
It’s the second new Oh Land track we’ve written about in two weeks, following the release of her own ‘Renaissance Girls‘ last week.
‘Last Of Our Kinds’ is a drums and pop affair. Or more specifically, if you can make it through the dark drum verses, you’re rewarded with a bright and shiny pop chorus! Like so many tunes, this here is most definitely all about the chorus. And the big happy finish. The great thing about Oh Land though, is that she sounds equally at home on both ends of the spectrum of sound that this song offers up – showcasing the versatility that we all fell in love with on her last album (‘Lean’ is still our true love).
