Wolf Box yesterday unveiled her third song since returning last year in her new guise.
The artist formerly known as Isabel Guzman follows up ‘One For The Radio‘ and ‘Mirror Wisdom‘ with ‘Hollow’. It’s a piano heavy slab of down-tempo despair. Depressing lyrics, an exasperated vocal, but it’s a beauty that’s well worth a lesson. We particularly like the kink at the end of the chorus that sees the melody uncharacteristically rise, as if it were one final grasp for positivity from her that then falls flat as the song either continues in its gloom, or comes to an end.
