Here’s a performance you might have missed if you didn’t watch the 30 minute bonus web broadcast from Tuesday night’s Allsång På Skansen. But it’s a performance which definitely SHOULDN’T be missed!
It’s Elisa’s duetting with Måns Zelmerlöw on the track that he co-wrote especially for them, ‘Veranda Varenda’. Elisa’s first performed it when they competed in Dansbandskampen last year, and it was then recorded for the release of their debut album this February. The uptempo schlager number is one of our favourite songs on their album, slightly reminiscent of Abba’s ‘Ring Ring’, in the music at least. So it’s a treat to see it performed live again, and especially nice to see them joined by its songwriter, Måns.

And strangely related, here’s another performance from Måns from Tuesday night. It’s a cover of ‘Human’ by The Killers. And we say “strangely” related, because ‘Human’ is another song that Elisa’s performed at Dansbandskampen, and which was later recorded for their album, along with Måns’ own ‘Veranda Veranda’. The performance below though, isn’t the dansband arrangement which Elisa’s used though, it’s a straight cover version of The Killers track.
