Today we’re launching something that we’ve wanted to for a very long time – our own record store!
As of now, we’ve opened up The Scandipop Store. A place where fans of Scandinavian pop music can import the music they want – wherever they are in the world. Here are some details about it;
Product
The store hosts a rich catalogue of top pop for pickers to choose from. We’ve got the latest releases from Scandipopstars, and also lots of their older albums to get hold of too. And it’s all the type of music that we write about on the scandipop website. In other words – all the good stuff, no rubbish! The store itself is a user-friendly service. It’s powered by VenderCart and hosted on famailiar ol’ Facebook. Right now, we’re just selling physical product – CD’s. At the moment, licensing downloads for worldwide sale is just too much of a minefield. We need to start somewhere though – so we’re starting here.
Pricing
Because our operations are based in the UK, we’re normally going to be cheaper than the big Scandinavian online stores who export out of the Nordics – even though our products are sourced from the very same distributors that some of them use. And we do ship anywhere in the world too.
We also offer a further discount on top of this. As it’s a Facebook based service, if you ‘like’ the store page, then you’ll automatically get access to a discount every time you visit. This equates to around 6-7% for top price albums, and up to 25% for singles.
We try to keep prices as low as we can. But please do bear in mind that we can only keep prices down in accordance with what the distributor is selling the product at to us.
Payment
Payments can be made at the store by credit card/debit card via PayPal. And our payment system is secured by McAfee Secure.
Postage
Shipping time is generally within 24 hours – unless something has gone out of stock since your order.
Postage time is;
UK: (1st Class) – 1-3 days
Europe: (airmail) – 3-5 days,
Outside Europe: (airmail) – up to 2 weeks
Service
If at any time you experience any problems or difficulties using the store, or with your order, then we would of course like you to inform us. We would prefer you do this via the Wall function of the store page – this means that anybody who might be experiencing the same problem as you, will be able to see that you have already asked it, and also be able to see what our answer was.

Stock
If something is not in stock, then it’ll be taken off the store page until we get it back in stock. However, if you’re looking for something in particular and can’t find it in the store – then let us know, and we’ll see if we can get it in stock for you. Again, you can just do this by leaving a message on the wall. We’ll see everything there.
As the store has just opened, it’s not fully stocked just yet. We’ll be adding more and more artists and titles in the coming weeks and months.
WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN FOR THIS WEBSITE
Well, don’t worry – we’re not suddenly gonna turn scandipop.co.uk into an aggresive sales website. That wouldn’t suit us! And besides, the store is just something that we’re doing on the side of all of this. Obviously if we write about an artist on here who has product available in our store, we’ll include a link to it at the bottom of the article. And every couple of weeks or so, we’ll write a post listing any new product that has come into stock recently. But that’s really about it. Likewise, anyone following us on Twitter or on Facebook won’t be bombarded with sales material. We’ll keep it to a minimum.
