What’s this? Two of our fave out and proud Swedish artists – SYLVE and Julia Alfrida – have paired up together to record and release something of a new Pride anthem for us all – their new single ‘Legacy’. And today they’ve released the music video, right in the middle of Stockholm Pride week.
What’s it like? ‘Legacy’ is a little bit different to your standard Pride anthems. Influences from disco, funk and retro synth are drawn upon, blended together beautifully, and all wrapped up in an upbeat and feel-good message and tone that you can’t help but want to be a part of. And it practically invites you to do so anyway. A pride anthem to have great pride in.
What do they say? “With this song, we want to inspire young LGBTQIA+ people, and future generations, to be themselves, even if you stand out from the norm. Explore who you are and ignore what others think.”
