Who? 23-year-old artist Sólborg Guðbrandsdóttir from Keflavík in Iceland. She’s been working as a musician for a few years now, but today releases the video for the debut single of her new artist project SUNCITY – ‘Naked’.
Why the name SUNCITY? It is a direct translation of her own name – Sol(sun) borg(city).
What’s the song like? An exciting debut that hints at having ambitions far beyond just Iceland. ‘Naked’ is a well-crafted pop tune with a bubbling synthpop undercurrent. All about “the perfectly imperfect sides that not
everyone deserves to see. When you are scared, insecure and vulnerable, thats when you are truly naked.”
