Eric Prydz premiered the video for his new single ‘Niton’ yesterday. Or ‘Niton (The Reason)’, as it’ll now officially be known as in its new vocal edit featuring Jan Burton. It’s finally (we first mentioned it back in August this year!) getting a UK release on February 6th through Ministry of Sound. And support has already been forthcoming in droves, with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Low calling it ‘’the hottest record in the world right now’’ this week. High praise indeed, although personally, this week we’re more enamored with Babsan’s ‘Alla Dessa Jular’. But that’s just us!
We do love the record though of course (we’ve even nominated it in yesterday’s 2011 scandipop award nominations!). And it’s nice to see it given the video treatment below. A neutered homage to psychedelica, in animation form, we imagine it’ll cause a few spazz outs in the coming months, as clubbers arrive home at 5am and turn on MTV Dance!
