What’s this? A remarkable return to form from Petra Marklund. Earlier this month she released her best single in ages with ‘Panna Mot Panna (Forever Young)’. And now she’s out with the music video.
A return to form suggests she’d lost said form. Had she? Well, the two singles she released earlier this year may have had their audience, but to us, they were a disappointing step in the wrong direction. This new single, on the other hand, is marvellous.
What’s so marvellous about it? Some of Petra’s best tracks have conveyed a certain majesty, delivered effortlessly by the artist herself. ‘Panna Mot Panna’ not only offers the listener a return to that experience, but it does so via a spectacular production – one which could best be described as a euphoric, electropop rave-up. Brilliant stuff.
