LOVE THIS SONG! Following on from ‘Loved You Once‘ in March, last month, Swedish artist Patrik Jean released his latest single ‘Let Me Know’. And today, he releases the music video on Scandipop – giving you guys the first look.
What does Patrik say about the vid? “We wanted to make a video that was as straightforward as the lyrics in this very honest song. The focus was to capture the expressions that come out of me when I sing it. We found an abandoned parking house that could represent the emptiness, and used nothing but the headlights from a car to fill up all of that darkness.” The video was shot by Magnus Ragnvid, and edited by JKFPhoto.
Beautiful. And that voice ain’t bad either. The vocal on the final chorus in particular, still takes us by surprise one month later. ‘Let Me Know’ is a soulful piano ballad with a choral backing. On it, we get a bigger, less subtle melody than on its predecessor, ‘Loved You Once’. Though undoubtedly the star of the whole show, and the spotlight stealer throughout the song’s duration, is indeed the vocal. We get to hear more of his range than we have before. And more than ever, he’s positioned himself as one of Sweden’s most awe-inspiring voices. Like, we’re talking incredible here.
Written by? Patrik himself. Produced by Herman Gardarfve.
More from Patrik? Next Friday, Patrik releases his debut EP, ‘L Is For’.
