What’s this? Swedish duo Isle Of You are back with their first new music since 2019’s ‘Party Until We’re In Love‘ album. This is their new single ‘Fallback’, the music video for which they released over the weekend.
What’s it like? A ballad of electronica that’s come straight from the ’80s. With a heart-on-its-sleeve “LOVE ME” sentiment that’s come straight out of an adorably pure ’80s blockbuster that you’ve kept coming back to ever since you first got it on VHS.
What do Isle Of You say? “This one goes out to the hopeless romantics who in a time of lockdown and isolation didn’t let fear and doubt get in the way of love. In the current pandemic situation, we believe that people need to hear ‘Fallback’. It’s magnificent and vulnerable, anxious and euphoric. The song reflects today’s worries and fears, at the
same time as it brings you into a hopeful cinematic world.”
