What’s this? A new single from the Icelandic audio extremists, Hatari. This is ‘KLÁMSTRÁKUR’. And yes, as the capitals indicate, we suggest you read that in a SHOUTING voice.
Awesome, can’t wait to listen. Well the music video has been released too and, what with them being Icelandic visual extremists, to boot, we’d suggest you enjoy the song along with the video. Play it loud. Scare your neighbours.
What happens in the video? The video is most definitely Klemens’ moment to shine, as he plays with gender stereotypes and denounces the ideals of masculinity – all while wearing not very much, and yet being unafraid to squat. What a trooper for his cause. Though Matthias also delivers a sinister turn, and we very much enjoyed Einar’s small part as a theatre voyeur.
And what’s the song like? Well the whole point of Hatari is that they repel any notion of description or categorising. So we’d suggest that you sit back, turn up the volume, and allow them to feed your soul. Art, after all, is in the eye of the beholder.
