What’s this? Sweden’s Eric Saade returned this summer with an excellent bop that we’re still giving plenty of spins to – ‘Like U Used To’. And now over the weekend he’s released quite a spectacular live performance video for the track, which you can watch below.
What’s the song like? He’s dancing with disco. And it suits him. It’s a strong pop tune hammered home by its chorus’ reliance on repetition. It’s a song that doesn’t want you forgetting it in a hurry. And honestly, it knows what’s best for you in that sense.
What does Eric say? “‘Like U Used To’ is all about that feeling that you slowly but surely becoming less and less loved, and that it can also be something that liberates a person. I love the mixture of melancholy in the lyrics, and the naive and quite happy music that the song possesses.”
