What’s this? Eric Saade has today released the music video for his Melodifestivalen 2021 song ‘Every Minute’.
What happens in it? It’s essentially an extension of the visual masterpiece that is his staging from the Melodifestivalen performance. Anyone who watched will have seen that the performance in itself was like a music video in the making. And so the actual music video just builds on that suitably. With a surprising twist at the end…
How has the performance been received? Well it’s currently smashing it on YouTube. Out of all eight finalists, ‘Every Minute’ is by far the most viewed, with over double the amount of views of that of the performance in second place – ‘Voices’ by Tusse.
And how is it doing on Spotify? It’s also the most streamed of the eight finalists on there. Although the margin is much narrower, with second-place Tusse slowly closing in on Saade in Swedish streams. Though Saade is still doing better on international streams.
Internationally popular! That bodes well, doesn’t it? Quite. The next seven days are going to be both tense and exciting for Melodifestivalen fans – with some strong contenders in the race, and with no clear winner just yet.
