Who? Carl-Emil Lohmann, an 18-year-old from Lejre. A fresh new talent emerging from Denmark, he’s just gone and released his debut EP ‘I Don’t Like To Have Fun‘.
Cheery. It ain’t got nothing on the joy of the ‘Would You Cry If I Died’, the music video for which he released over the weekend.
Christ! That’s the EP’s big highlight though, so every cloud has a silver lining and all that.
What does his music sound like? It’s Billie Eilish on a particularly low and downbeat day. We’re also hearing flashes of early Noah Cyrus. But listening to the EP as a whole, it’s clear that he’s formulated what is his own definitive sound, and one that he’s comfortable standing behind.
Who’s he been writing with? He’s written all four songs himself, with Karl-Frederik Reichardt, Marco Twellmann and Maria Broberg also getting a credit on all four.
