What’s this? Why it’s our very own Dotter, out with her first single in Swedish AND her first Christmas song, the music video for which she has released today. ‘Vintern Jag Var Sexton’.
What does that mean? The winter I was sixteen.
What’s it like? A haunting ballad with a touch of the epic to it, and with actual big ol’ Christmas bells inserted into it. We love it when that happens.
What does Dotter say? “I’m singing about looking back on a relationship that you had when you were younger, which ended in the winter. Every year at the same time, at Christmas, you are reminded of this old relationship. The story is not specifically about me, but I myself was broken up with as a teenager in the winter, so there is a high recognition there for me.”
