What, like, THE Agnes?! She’s back. With her first original music in seven years, and four years since her Så Mycket Bättre experience. With not one, but TWO new singles. ‘Limelight’ and ‘I Trance’ – the latter of which she has released the three-part music video for today.
What has she got to say for herself? “Can’t believe it’s happening. I’ve been on a journey that took me 4 years, 2 months and 29 days. Living life, making music, travelling, seeing new places and faces. Consciously pushing myself to do new things and the idea of who I am. Such a crazy journey. It’s been scary as hell and wonderful at the same time.”
And what is she sounding like after all this time? Ten years on from ‘Dance! Love! Pop!’ and while we can’t assume how she’s feeling in the Love! department, we can deduce that she’s now very much into the whole Dance! aspect of her life. ‘Limelight’ is a glittery house dream, whereas ‘I Trance’ is a deep and pounding, well, trance anthem. The latter is our favourite of the two on first listen, but both tunes are a welcome return and magical reinvention from one of Sweden’s best vocal talents.
