What’s this? ABBA have released the music video for their brand-new single, ‘Little Things’.
Strange choice to make the tenth-best song on your album the new single, but ok. Well it’s a Christmas song, y’know. ‘Tis the season and all that.
What happens in it? It’s actually a really very clever music video, in that it manages to stay true to the song’s message of highlighting how the festive season is such an important time of the year for children, while also serving as a semi behind-the-scenes look into ABBA’s new Voyage concert experience.
Are ABBA in it? Much like the concert experience, the answer to that question is – yeah, kinda.
Oh those Swedes. Those generous Swedes! They announced today that all proceeds from the ‘Little Things’ single will be going towards the charity UNICEF. Agnetha, Björn, Benny & Anni-Frid said: “We think it is impossible to eradicate poverty without the empowerment of women. That’s why we support Unicef in protecting girls from sexual violence and empowering them through the Global Child Protection Fund. We have done so for many years with our song ‘Chiquitita’, and now we have decided to give Unicef a Christmas gift in the form of a second song: ‘Little Things’ from our album ‘Voyage’!”.
