Vanessa Falk unleashes her debut single next week. ‘Private Party’ gets the standard Swedish iTunes release on Monday, and has been preceded by the premiere of its video this afternoon.
It’s a deep and filthy electro house track which you may remember reading about if you were a scandipop frequenter back in the summer of last year. It’s a bit mental, but in a very good way of course. Personally, we’re really liking the studio version, and are having to take breaks from having a considerable rave in our front room just so that we can write this! It’s a club tune, but the type of club that carries on until 10am on a Sunday morning, not the kind which peaks at midnight.
And it’s got a dark and dirty video to match, in which Vanessa can also be seen having a considerable rave of her own. Although hers takes place in a ‘cool’ and ‘underground’ club as opposed to her front room.
We’re looking forward to hearing more from Vanessa Falk in 2011. And for now, musically, we’re pigeon-holing her as the seedier, naughtier sister of Tove Styrke. We hope we’re correct in that analogy!
