Here’s a song that came out last month, but that we missed out on. But it needs to be written about because it’s a tune.
It’s Swedish singing chap, Tommy Burr. And his latest single ‘How You Let Me Down’. Singer/songwriter fare, with a great big sing-a-long chorus that’s got a melody so instant, you feel like you’ve heard it before. The pop chorus is helped along its way by a production that allows synths into the mix – we always enjoy it when guitar music so graciously allows synths into the mix.
It’s all quite reminiscent of the finer moments of Erik Hassle’s back catalogue. And that’s a good thing.
