Here’s an awesome new song that’s just been released by Norwegian/British synth duo The Green Children. It’s their ‘Kisses From The Sky’.
The song is one of those big wonders of the pop world – a discoballad. Masses of complex strings and some fairly basic synths wrap themselves around a gorgeously dreamy vocal and melody, one which blatantly has a devastating case of The Sads. They’ve also injected a slight trip-hop edge to the whole thing. And this discoballad is one that generously treats the listener to an extended outro which is OVER A MINUTE in length and yet totally captivating for every one of those seconds.
The Green Children are Norwegian singer Milla Sunde from Ålesund, and Brit producer Marlow Bevan. They met while studying at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
